The Wichita Business Journal is looking for an intern reporter or photojournalist.
This is a paying gig — full time for 10 weeks this summer, or part time for a longer period.
It is looking for a student who’s already demonstrated journalism chops with school publications, previous internships or professional publications.
The intern will get weekly business reporting/photography assignments just like the regular staff, and will assume a role in blogs and social media streams.
The WBJ is published by American City Business Journals, and a successful internship there could open doors across its network of business journals in 40 markets nationwide.
If you’re interested, send your resume, the names and phone numbers of three professional or academic references, and at least three news writing clips or a portfolio of news photographs (links to ungated webpages are fine).
Front that with a cover letter explaining your interest in business journalism and this internship.
Send to Nick Jungman, Managing Editor, at email@example.com, or by mail or in person to our office at 121 N. Mead, Suite 100, Wichita, KS 67202. You can also email if you have questions you’d like answered before you apply.
Don’t delay! The deadline is fast approaching. Materials must be received in our office no later than Wednesday, Feb. 6.
